Confessions: God is My Source

Don’t let the stress of life in this dark world get your eyes off of your GOD – your SOURCE. Read these scriptures and then confess them with your mouth over your life and into your world. This is what GOD Himself taught Joshua so that he and the children of Israel would be able to live the elevated life GOD had planned for them. The Apostle Paul tells us that we ought to look at the things that happened to Israel in the Old Testament as examples and learning opportunities.

Let’s follow Joshua’s example and put GOD’s word in our mouths.

What PSALM 1:1-3 says:
“Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the LORD, and they study it day and night. They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“I am blessed because I do not listen to advice from or follow after ungodly people. I make much room in my life for GOD! I so enjoy studying and obeying the Word of GOD. I am blessed like a tree that always has a great supply of water, that always is in season and never experiences death. Thank You LORD that Your blessing causes me to be successful in everything that I do!”

What PSALM 103:2-5 says:
“Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits – Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“I praise the LORD from the deepest parts of me – I will never forget how kind He is! He forgives all my sins and heals all my sickness. He saved me from the grave, and He loves me and shows me compassion! He gives me plenty of good things. He makes me young and strong on the inside like how an eagle grows new feathers.”

What JEREMIAH 32:17 says:
“LORD God, You created heaven and earth by Your great power and outstretched arm; nothing is too hard for You!”
What a BELIEVER says:
“GOD, I know that you created heaven and earth using your great power so I know that nothing I experience or encounter is too hard or too big for you to handle!”

What MATTHEW 6:31-34 says:
“Don’t ever worry and say, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ Everyone is concerned about these things, and your heavenly Father certainly knows you need all of them. But first, be concerned about His kingdom and what has His approval. Then all these things will be provided for you. So don’t ever worry about tomorrow. After all, tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“Thank You, LORD, that I do not have to worry about where my next meal is coming from or if I’ll be dressed. I am not worried! I refuse to worry and be preoccupied with tomorrow’s troubles! Instead, I focus on and give attention to Your Kingdom, LORD, and the plans You have for me. I know You will provide all that I need to get it done and I am grateful for it today.”

What PHILIPPIANS 4:19 says:
“My God will meet your every need out of His riches in the glory that is found in Christ Jesus.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“Thank You LORD for using Your glorious riches to meet every single one of my needs because I am in Christ Jesus!”

What PSALM 35:27 says:
“Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor My righteous cause; and let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“I live to see GOD’s goals accomplished! I am full of joy and I cannot contain it! I want the LORD to be seen far and wide because He’s so good – He is happiest when I’m taken care of and have abundance.”

What NUMBERS 6:24-26 says:
“The LORD bless you and protect you. The LORD make His face shine on your and be gracious to you. The LORD lift up His face to you and grant you peace.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“Thank You LORD! You bless me and protect me. You smile down on me and show Your kindness to me. LORD, You receive me into Your presence and give me peace.”

What EPHESIANS 2:8-10 says:
“You are saved by God’s grace because of your faith. This salvation is God’s gift. It’s not something you did that you can be proud of. Instead, we are God’s accomplishment, created in Christ Jesus to do good things. God planned for these good things to be the way that we live our lives.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“Praise GOD! I am saved by God’s grace because I have faith in Him. My salvation and wholeness is not earned by me, but given to me by GOD. GOD has planned for me to do good things with my life by His grace.”

What PSALM 37:25 says:
“I was once young, but am now old. Not once have I found a lover of God forsaken by Him, nor have any of their children gone hungry.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“Thank You, LORD, for always taking care of me and never leaving me alone! Thank You, LORD, for always making sure my children are fed!”

What LUKE 12:6 says:
“Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one sparrow is forgotten by God. Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth much more than many sparrows!”
What a BELIEVER says:
“Thank You, LORD, for loving me and caring about me. You’re so good! I know You’ll never forget about me.”

What 2 CORINTHIANS 8:9 says:
“You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. You know that He gave up His heavenly riches for you. He gave up everything so that you could be richly blessed.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“I know that Jesus gave up His Heavenly position so that He could bless me with all of His goodness and riches by grace.”

What PSALM 84:11 says:
“The LORD is a sun and shield; God is favor and glory. The LORD gives – doesn’t withhold! – good things to those who walk with integrity.”
What a BELIEVER says:
“Thank You, LORD for blessing me with good things in my life because I walk in integrity and live a righteous lifestyle! You are my protector and glorious King!”

What MATTHEW 7:11 says:
“Even though you’re evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?”
What a BELIEVER says:
“I thank You, LORD, for being so good to me! The best and most gracious human ideas and gifts cannot top the blessings You give me!”

What PSALM 23 says:
“The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as He has promised. Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, LORD for You are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me. You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; You welcome me as an honored guest and fill my cup to the brim. I know that Your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live.
What a BELIEVER says:
“GOD takes care of me like a shepherd cares for it’s sheep. I lack no good thing. I rest peacefully and am refreshed with new strength by GOD. The LORD leads me down the right paths because that’s just who He is! Even when darkness and death are near me, I will not allow fear in because GOD is with me – He’s always working to protect me. GOD always blesses me with more than I can hold, even when I’m surrounded by my enemies. I know that GOD’s goodness and mercy will be near me wherever I go in life and I know that GOD will always be close to me.”
